Oh, hello there lovely people! Today, I wanna talk about a major historical event that shook the world! And by shook, I mean it was a great moment to sit with popcorn and witness the grandeur! You guessed it right, I'm talking about Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation in 1953! I stumbled upon some amazing pictures of her coronation and I have to say, I was blown away. The amount of gold and bling that woman wore, I mean, I'm just speechless! So, let me take you through a visual journey of her coronation day and we will even have a recipe at the end. Yup, you read it right, I'm feeling generous today. Let's start with this first picture I found. Can you see the sheer grandeur? The Queen is decked out in a gold and diamond encrusted gown and a robe with ermine fur trim. Nothing screams royalty more than fur trim, am I right? Moving on, we have this picture. The Queen is surrounded by her family and other people of note, all decked out in their fancy attire. And to top it all off, the room itself is super grand too! Oh, to have a room like that in my house. A girl can dream, right?

Apparently, one of the cameras malfunctioned during the anointing ceremony and missed the whole thing! Can you imagine? Millions of people were watching the broadcast and they missed a major part of the ceremony.

Now, let's move on to the most exciting part of this post - the recipe! As a token of my love and appreciation, I'm gonna share with you a recipe for a classic British dish - Shephard's pie. Trust me, it's easy and delicious.

Shephard's Pie Recipe

Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
• 1 onion, diced
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 tbsp. tomato paste
• 1 cup beef broth
• 1/2 cup frozen peas
• 1/2 cup frozen carrots
• 2 cups mashed potatoes
• Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat.
2. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened.
3. Add the tomato paste and stir until combined.
4. Add the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
5. Add the peas and carrots and cook for 5-10 minutes.
6. Transfer the mixture to a large casserole dish and spread the mashed potatoes on top.
7. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes or until the potatoes are golden brown.
